This painting is part of a series I made after losing my beloved dog. Grieving her loss made me wonder where she had gone and what, if anything, an afterlife might look like.
I imagined her as a ghostly presence suspended between worlds, emerging through layers of memory, colour, and uncertainty. The painting became a way of exploring grief, love, and the hope that those we lose may somehow continue to exist beyond what we can see.
95 x 65.5cm mixed media acrylics, pastels, posca on canvas board
This piece is sold unframed but I can recommend a framer
